KOKO LOKO was founded in 2022 by Valery Boston, a singer-songwriter and performer from Martinique.

Seeking to reconnect with her roots, Valery wanted to share the richness and lightness of island music. She describes this musical style as “tropical pop” or “afro-pop,” which captures her sound perfectly.

Writing and composing songs came naturally to her, and the result was the group’s first track, Daba, set to feature on their debut EP, scheduled for release in September 2025.

Their debut single, Soleil, released on September 24, 2024, encapsulates the artistic vision of KOKO LOKO and has already enjoyed significant success.

In the summer of 2024, KOKO LOKO was selected as one of the emerging musical acts in the Royan region.  They gained popularity, performing nearly 20 concerts over two months (July and August).

Their inclusion in the 2025 Scènes d’été tour in Gironde further underscores the enthusiasm festival organizers have for their music.

Fueled by the public’s excitement, KOKO LOKO will begin a music residency in April 2025 to prepare for an upcoming tour. The residency will showcase a series of musical surprises, cleverly written by Valery Boston and arranged by her three bandmates. Get ready for a colorful, explosive show that will bring joy and an undeniable urge to dance!
